I have completed additional training such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) whilst working as part of a multi-disciplinary team within a drug/alcohol and mental health local authority setting.
I have supported people professionally in a multitude of situations, and from varying backgrounds, to make very difficult decisions, with implications that can last a lifetime - birth and death, loss and separation, and with histories of abuse, neglect, trauma, domestic abuse, plus many other forms of suffering and sorrow, and the plethora of ways these manifest in our current lives; and I have overcome personal experiences of these too.
As an Integrative Therapist, I draw on a range of complementary tools and modalities, which I tailor to your individual needs and presentation.
My work is informed by:
Humanistic Approaches
Family Therapy Approaches
Trauma-informed practice
Attachment Theory
Inner Child work
Parts work
Somatic felt sense (awareness of bodily sensations and the aligned emotional memories and responses)
The connection between the brain, body, and gut
Sand tray therapy
Guided imagery
Over 25 years of mindfulness and Buddhist practice
These approaches are integrated to support a holistic and compassionate way of understanding, exploring and healing.
